About the Club
Club Information:
Havre Boucher Tae Kwon Do began operation in September 2007. The club has continued to grow since its inception. Havre Boucher Tae Kwon Do is under the East Coast Tae Kwon Do umbrella. Master Martin MacDougall of Sydney, NS, leads East Coast Tae Kwon Do. The club offers Olympic style tae kwon do instruction. All instruction is donated by qualified, World Tae Kwon Do Federation, instructors. The club runs children and adult classes three nights a week. The club operates on a non-profit basis and fees are kept to a minimum. All associated tae kwon do gear is sold at cost with no mark up on the prices and testing fees are kept minimal.
Instructor Information:
Mr. Morgan MacPherson began his tae kwon do training in 1987, at Sydney Tae Kwon Do, under the direction of Master Wayne Robertson and Grand Master Chong Soo Lee. After several years of intense training, Mr. MacPherson was tested for and promoted to 1st dan black belt by Grand Master Chong Soo Lee in 1992. During this time Mr. MacPherson competed on a regular basis and trained extensively with several Canadian national medalists & competitors. Mr. MacPherson also taught tae kwon do classes for Master Wayne Robertson as an assistant instructor at Sydney Tae Kwon Do. In 1997, Mr. MacPherson was promoted to 2nd dan black belt by Grand Master Chong Soo Lee in Sydney, NS. In 2001 Mr. MacPherson relocated to the province of Saskatchewan and during this time he operated two tae kwon do clubs in the Towns of Assiniboia and Mossbank. In 2004 Mr. MacPherson was promoted to 3rd dan black belt. After residing in Saskatchewan for six years, Mr. MacPherson moved to Havre Boucher, NS in 2007. It was at this time, that classes started at Havre Boucher Tae Kwon Do. In 2012, Mr. MacPherson was promoted to 4th dan black belt by Master Martin MacDougall of East Coast Tae Kwon Do.
